Natural swimming pond
The country house has a 14-meter natural swimming pond.
Natural swimming ponds reproduce the dynamics of a river or a lake. Water keeps clean thanks to plants and beneficial microorganisms. Freshwater phytoplankton and plants oxygenate the water during sunlight through photosynthesis. Microorganisms consume oxygen and mineralize suspended organic matter in water. Finally, plants feed on the minerals produced by microorganisms.
This is a form of purifying and cleaning the water naturally and through sustainable and stable processes, without using neither salt nor chlorine. Our natural swimming pond is of great benefit to you, as it takes care of your skin by moisturizing it and connects you with nature.
Mini-tennis and ping pong table
The hotel has a ping pong table and a mini-tennis court that you can use as a couple or as a family. With everything you need to play there, for young and old, the days are lighter if you do some sport between meals. There is no extra charge and they are available all year round.
Spa hammam
Can Buch's Spa hammam is a space to relax and reconnect with yourself. A cosy space built with stone and handcrafted ceramics from the farmhouse. A space to enjoy alone, as a couple or as a family. The entrance is also allowed to children.
It consists of a hot water hammam pool with jacuzzi, a bench and a submerged lounger. It is exclusive and reserved for the room that makes the booking.
Vegetable garden
We have a vegetable organic garden that works with the criteria of permaculture. We do not use any kind of chemical or organic treatment, we just make sure to use the resources we have around us to obtain, little by little, a more balanced ecosystem that protects the crops from infestations and predators.
We have fresh vegetables all year round with which we supply our restaurant. The vegetables that are left over and that we can't use are given to the animals and their manure is used to fertilize the soil of our garden, in order to obtain a better production the following year.
The garden has a plant pond and an insect hotel that help improve the lives of the auxiliary fauna. We also keep many nest boxes there to help the birds breed. The vegetable garden is adjacent to the country house and can be visited whenever you want.
Animals
With us live cats and dogs that brighten our lives. They are very nice and are always around the cottage. In the garden we have a pond with fish and a small space with turtles that we feed with leftovers from the restaurant.
We also have chickens, quails and lambs that, living in freedom, help us to improve our ecosystem. They feed on the vegetation of the surrounding fields and produce droppings that fertilize the soil, as well as that of our garden. We obtain fresh eggs that we use to be able to offer you a complete breakfast. The animals can be visited and you can help us in the afternoon to feed them and collect eggs from the hens.
Chill out space
Leaving the door of the country house, we find a terrace with cushions to enjoy the panoramic view of the mountains of Rocacorba and all the nature that surrounds us. Ideal for resting, reading or smoking. You can always have beers, soft drinks or a glass of wine. In the afternoon it is an ideal place to play a board game with the family.
